GoAir Announces 7 New International Routes
Budget airline GoAir will expand its international network, starting 19 July, with seven new international routes. Daily flights to Abu Dhabi, Bangkok and Muscat will be launched from Mumbai and Delhi.
GoAir will also be flying from Kannur to Dubai and Kuwait and back. The airline already flies to Muscat and Abu Dhabi from Kannur.
The seven new routes, that will be soon introduced, has three new destinations for the Mumbai-based carrier-Bangkok, Dubai and Kuwait. It has existing flights to Phuket, Maldives, Abu Dhabi and Muscat from various Indian cities.
The Wadia group airline operates as a low-cost carrier and caters to airports in Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Kannur, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi and Srinagar. It flies Airbus A320s aircraft.
Since its inception, GoAir has flown over 72 million passengers and aims to touch the 100 million passengers mark in the next two years. As part of its expansion plans, it hopes to expand its reach to strategic markets, it said.
