Rupee Strengthens To 11-Month High Of 68.30

After the US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell raised hopes of an interest rate cut later in the month, the domestic currency together with other Asian peers gained against the US dollar in Thursday's trade.

Rupee Strengthens To 11-Month High Of 68.30

The rupee opened at 68.31 per dollar and made a high of 68.30 against the greenback, the levels last seen on August 2, 2018.

The yield on the 10-year government bond was at 6.555% compared with Wednesday's close of 6.544%.

Meanwhile, Sensex was also trading higher by 0.42% at 38720.44 points.
