Indian Tourist To Get On-Arrival Visa In Sri Lanka
After the fatal bombings on the eve of Easter In Sri Lanka, the country has decided to revive its tourism industry which has shown signs of sluggishness, and its view it has been decided to issue visa-on-arrival to select countries citizens including India and China.
In its earlier July 10 decision, the policy of free visa and visa-on-arrival has been reviewed for some 39 nations which will come into effect from August 1. But the programme, then excluded the nation's top source markets including China and India.

The countries included, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States of America, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Canada, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand and Switzerland.
But yesterday, the ministry of Sri Lanka allowed issuance of free visa on arrival to additional nations that include Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Philippines, Russia, China, India and England.
