As per a leading dailies report, the second Train 18 which is to connect the busy route of Delhi-Katra is set to become operational from August 15. The train will shorten the travel time to just 8 hours in comparison to the earlier 12 hours and before the final flagging off, it shall still going through one or two more trial runs.

En route its journey it will have small stoppages of 2 minutes at Ambala, Ludhiana, and Jammu Tawi railway stations.
The train has been built to overcome the previous drawback found in the first Train 18 that runs between Delhi and Varanasi. And it boast of a infrastructure that includes automatic doors, WiFi and infotainment system, improved washbasins, adjustable seats among others.
The train will primarily to cater to pilgrims of Vaishno Devi who so far took 12 hours to reach Katra.
