Rupee Opens Tad Lower At 68.94

The rupee resumed trading on Monday on a slightly weaker note after closing at 68.90 in the previous session against the dollar.

The dollar gained to a 2-month peak and last quoted at 97.921. The gains have come in after economic adviser Larry Kudlow said on Friday that Trump administration had "ruled out" intervening to push it lower.

Meanwhile, oil also eased cents to $56.12 a barrel.

Asian markets have also been trading lower as markets seem to be anxious on the rate cut by the US Fed likely this week.
