PNB Revises FD Rates
Following suit, another state run lender PNB has revised its FD rates with effect from August 1, 2019. The lender has revised interest rates on select maturities by up to 50 basis points. For its FD of deposits up to Rs. 2 crore and tenure of 7-14 days and 15-29 days, PNB now offers 5% rate in comparison to 5.5% and 6% interest rate, respectively.
Nonetheless, on few of the select maturities, the bank on its FD maturing between 3-5 years will offer 6.5%, which is an upward revision by 25 basis points from the previous rates. To its senior citizen customers, the bank provides an additional benefit of 25basis point.
