Paytm Allows You To Scan Any QR Code To Make Payments; Offers Cashback
To expand its usage, digital payments platform Paytm will now allow its users to scan Quick Response (QR) codes of any UPI player to make payments using its UPI facility. Further, to promote the use, it is also offering cashback upto Rs 2,100 to customers using the feature.
The new utility will allow a user to pay a shopkeeper that uses other UPI platforms like Google Pay, BHIM, etc. The move is expected to benefit small retailers and kirana shops in the country that have been accepting digital payments.

Paytm's website says that the offer will be available on payments made across India at Grocery Stores, Retail Stores, Restaurants, Petrol Pumps, Dairy outlets, Pharmacies, Clinics, Parking, Auto/taxi Rides, Hospitals, Automobile Services, Beauty & Fitness, Servicing & Delivery executives etc.
Users will have to make the payments by scanning any QR Code via Paytm app and selecting the UPI linked bank account option at selected merchants. Minimum transaction amount has to be Rs 50, it said.
Cashback offer
The up to Rs 2,100 cashback offer is available up to 30 September. "In order to get cashback worth ₹2,100 the user needs to complete 10 payments within 30 days of unlocking the offer," it said. The offer is subject to other conditions mentioned on the digital payments company's website.
