At its 42nd AGM, RILs CMD has commercially launched Jio's broadband service which it has coined as Jio GigaFiber. The 1Gbps broadband service will be made available for purchase in India without registration from September 5.

Jio GigaFiber in its basic offering will provide high-speed 100Mbps broadband which will go upto 1000 Mbps or1Gpbs. The subscription plan starts from Rs. 700 per month. Together with free voice calling from any home to any of the Indian telecom service provider whether fixed or mobile, the service would extend fixed-line international calling with unlimited calls to the US and Canada for Rs. 500/month.

Also users will stand to gain from a bundle of OTT platform subscriptions, newly-released movies and hence would enjoy 'First Day First Show. The service though would be availabe from mid-2020.

Further as a complimentary offer, under 'Jio Forever Annual Plans' which will be its annual subscription plan, the company has announced to offer a free 4K/HD TV and a 4K set-top box.
