SpiceJet To Introduce 12 New Domestic Flights From October

On Friday, SpiceJet said that it will launch 12 new domestic flights with effect from the first week of October 2019.

The Indian budget passenger carrier said that all the new flights will fly on a daily basis and all these routes will be deployed with its Boeing 737-800 aircrafts.

From 8 October, SpiceJet will run daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Aurangabad. Additional frequencies will be introduced on the Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Bengaluru routes in the same month.

The airline has been vigorously expanding its domestic operations. Since 1 April, it has announced 142 new flights whth 78 connecting to Mumbai, 30 connecting to Delhi and 12 additions to flights between Mumbai and Delhi.

It now has 550 average daily flights to 62 destinations, which includes 52 domestic and 10 international locations, with a fleet of 77 Boeing 737, 32 Bombardier Q-400s and three B737 freighters.

Earlier this month, SpiceJet reported its highest ever quarterly profit for the April-June 2019 period at Rs 261.7 crore, despite a switch to new accounting standards that impacted financial numbers.
