The soon to be run IRCTC Tejas Express on Delhi Lucknow route is gearing up its action plan to begin operations as early as by the end of next month. Besides world-class facilities to its passengers, the privately-run train is considering out ways to compensate passengers in case the train gets delayed by over an hour. It can dole out some partial refund on the train fare or can even provide concession on future travels on the train.

Also, as an another stand-out on reaching close to the destination point, the train is considering to provide second meal in a snack style way. Moreover, there will be coffee and tea vending machines, which can be used basis personal interest.
"It is a day time journey and aeroplanes also have only three toilets for over 150 passengers. In case of the Tejas Express, it will be two toilets for 72 passengers. This will help increase our storage space as the third toilet will be blocked out," the official said. The train is considering to provide aircraft mirrored toilet facility. The effort in this direction will reduce the onboard cleanliness charges for the carrier and also improve the area size for storing.
Tejas Express fares will be on the lines of Shatabdi, though the carrier has been given full flexibility to charge as intended from passengers.
Notably, Tejas Express is an enhanced version of Shatabdi with improved facilities including customised LCD entertainment screens, sliding doors, automatic entry/exit doors, modular bio-toilets.
