The Indian rupee in Friday's trade opens unchanged at 71.78 per dollar in comparison to Thursday's close of 71.80. Rupee was last seen trading at 71.68 per dollar.
Rupee Opens Unchanged At 71.78
Investors have remained cautious due to the ongoing recession fears which have been aggravated due to US-China stand off. It is to be noted that with effect from September 1, increased tariffs levied on China will come into effect. Though, the negotiation call has to some extent relieved the sentiment.
Yuan has also added gains, after falling for 10-straight days.
Meanwhile, Indian indices have opened slightly on a positive note, with Nifty near 11,000 mark.
