Buoyed by positive sentiments across the world wherein in the US Powell indicated to be accommodative and said she would take measures to sustain growth.
Further, the benchmark indices in yesterday's trade closed above the 11,000 mark for the first time after 5 trading sessions.
The Sensex closed higher by 163.69 points while Nifty gained 56.80 to end the session at 11,003.
