22K, 24K, 18K Gold Rates Slump for Second Day on 7 April; Silver Rate Today Remains Flat for 5th Day in Delhi

Domestic gold prices have witnessed a sharp decline over the past two days, falling by a total of Rs 10,900 for 24 Karat and Rs 10,000 for 22 Karat per 100 grams. On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, gold rates dropped further, with 24 Karat priced at Rs 14,984 per gram (down Rs 82) and 22 Karat at Rs 13,735 per gram (down Rs 75).

In contrast, silver prices in New Delhi remained steady for the fifth consecutive day, holding at Rs 2,500 per gram, Rs 25,000 per 10 grams, and Rs 2,50,000 per 100 grams.

The decline in gold prices comes as investors react to escalating geopolitical tensions after Donald Trump warned of potential strikes on Iranian civilian infrastructure, raising concerns over the economic impact of a prolonged conflict.

24 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

For 24 Karat gold on 7 April 2026, the price for 1 gram stood at Rs 14,984, down by Rs 82 from Rs 15,066 recorded a day earlier. The rate for 8 grams dropped to Rs 1,19,872 from Rs 1,20,528, marking a decline of Rs 656. For 10 grams, prices slipped to Rs 1,49,840 compared to Rs 1,50,660, a fall of Rs 820. On a bulk scale, 100 grams of 24 Karat gold is now priced at Rs 14,98,400, down by Rs 8,200 from the previous session.

22 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

In the 22 Karat segment, gold prices also saw a notable correction. The rate for 1 gram stood at Rs 13,735, down by Rs 75 from Rs 13,810. The price for 8 grams declined to Rs 1,09,880 from Rs 1,10,480, reflecting a drop of Rs 600. For 10 grams, the rate fell to Rs 1,37,350 from Rs 1,38,100, down by Rs 750. Meanwhile, 100 grams of 22 Karat gold is priced at Rs 13,73,500, registering a decline of Rs 7,500.

18 Karat Gold Rate Today in Delhi

Similarly, 18 Karat gold prices also moved lower on the same date. The price for 1 gram stood at Rs 11,238, down by Rs 61 from Rs 11,299. The rate for 8 grams fell to Rs 89,904 from Rs 90,392, a decrease of Rs 488. For 10 grams, prices slipped to Rs 1,12,380 compared to Rs 1,12,990, marking a drop of Rs 610. On a larger scale, 100 grams of 18 Karat gold is now valued at Rs 11,23,800, down by Rs 6,100 from the previous day.

Silver prices in Delhi remained stable on April 7, 2026, showing no change compared to the previous trading session. The price for 1 gram of silver stood at Rs 250, unchanged from the previous day.

For higher quantities, the rate for 8 grams was steady at Rs 2,000, while 10 grams of silver continued to be priced at Rs 2,500. On a larger scale, 100 grams of silver was valued at Rs 25,000 with no change recorded.

Meanwhile, 1 kilogram of silver remained constant at Rs 2,50,000 on Tuesday.

"Overall, prices appear to be in a consolidation phase, and a decisive upside breakout above resistance zones may trigger fresh bullish momentum. Traders may consider waiting for breakout confirmation before initiating fresh long positions," said Choice report.
