22K Gold Rate Today, April 10: Prices Bounce Back in Chennai and Hyderabad; Check Latest Prices

Gold prices have risen for the third consecutive week, finding fresh support from a weakening dollar, falling oil prices, and eased concerns over inflation and potential interest rate hikes. The US-Iran ceasefire has further reduced safe-haven demand, yet the precious metal continues to hold firm. As a result, gold rate today across major Indian cities, including Chennai and Hyderabad, are staying higher compared to previous days.

MCX Gold Price Today, April 10

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) both precious metals are seeing mild selling pressure in today's session. At the time of writing, gold futures for the June 5, 2026 contract are trading at Rs. 52,476 per 10 grams, down by 0.62% from the previous close. Silver futures for the May 5, 2026 contract are also under pressure, trading at Rs. 41,790 per kg, declining by 0.81% on the day.

Spot Gold Rate Today

As per Reuters Report, "Spot gold held its ground at $4,764.54 per ounce by 0532 GMT. The ​metal, however, has gained 1.8% so far this week. While spot silver rose 1.3% to $76.03 per ounce."

24k, 18k, 22K Gold Rate Today in Chennai

Gold rate in Chennai today has seen a sharp rise across 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat gold prices.

The 24 carat gold rate in Chennai today stands at Rs. 15,409 per gram, up Rs. 136 from yesterday's price of Rs. 15,273 per gram. For 10 grams, the 24 carat gold price in Chennai today is Rs. 1,54,090 compared to Rs. 1,52,730 yesterday.

The 22 carat gold rate in Chennai today, which is the most popular choice for gold jewellery buyers, is priced at Rs. 14,125 per gram, rising Rs. 125 from Rs. 14,000 per gram yesterday.

For lightweight jewellery buyers, the 18-carat gold rate in Chennai today is Rs. 11,775 per gram, up Rs. 125 from Rs. 11,650 yesterday.

24k, 18k, 22K Gold Rate Today in Hyderabad

Similar to Chennai, the Gold rate in Hyderabad today, April 10, also recorded a sharp increase across 24 carat, 22 carat and 18 carat gold prices.

The 24 carat gold rate in Hyderabad today stands at Rs. 15,300 per gram, up Rs. 152 from yesterday's price of Rs. 15,148 per gram. For 10 grams, the 24 carat gold price in Hyderabad today is Rs. 1,53,000 compared to Rs. 1,51,480 yesterday.

The 22 carat gold rate in Hyderabad today, which is the most preferred choice for gold jewellery buyers in Telangana, is priced at Rs. 14,025 per gram, rising Rs. 140 from Rs. 13,885 per gram yesterday.

The 18 carat gold rate in Hyderabad today is Rs. 11,475 per gram, up Rs. 114 from Rs. 11,361 yesterday.

Should You Buy Gold Today?

According to a Technical Commodity report by Nirmal Bang Securities, "Gold prices are expected to rise. One can buy at 152000 for a pullback, maintaining a stop loss of 150700. Prices can test 153500-155000."

IBJA, in a different report, mentioned, "Gold and silver prices are trading mixed today on the international bourses. We expect precious metals prices on Indian bourses to trade rangebound to slightly higher for the day, as gold and silver prices are headed for a third weekly gain, as hopes for a diplomatic resolution to the war in Iran and sustained buying by central banks outweighed persistent risks around inflation."
