3.53% Dividend Yield: This PSU Power Stock Has Hit New 52-Week High Today; Do You Own The Stock?

NTPC shares traded on new 52 Week High value 275.40 in the intraday trading on Friday. The share price of state-owned power giant NTPC Ltd was up 2.99% at Rs 269.10 per share at 3:20 pm IST today. Today, the stock also saw a spurt in trading volume by more than 5.06 times.

At the current share price of Rs 269.10, this results in a dividend yield of 3.53%

In an important update, the company today informed that K. Shanmugha Sundaram has taken charge as Director (Projects), NTPC on 1st December, 2023. K. Shanmugha Sundaram is a 1988 batch Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from Govt.

College of Technology, Coimbatore with PGDM from MDI Gurgaon in the area of Strategy & Finance. Prior to joining as Director (Projects), NTPC Limited, he was ED to CMD, NTPC Limited. The company informed that Shri K. Shanmugha Sundaram does not hold any share of NTPC.

Before this, the NTPC stock price touched a new 52-week high for three consecutive days on November 28 (at Rs 258.35), November 29 (at Rs 259.60), and November 30 (at Rs 261.75).

Brokerage firm Sharekhan is bullish on NTPC and has maintained a "Buy" on NTPC with a revised target price of Rs. 300 on strong earnings growth visibility, reasonable valuations and healthy dividend yield of ~3-4%.
