The social security scheme administering body- Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in a recent tweet notified about the various EPFO related services that can be availed on Digilocker. Remember, digilocker is a government of India initiative aimed at paperless governance. The secure cloud-based digital locker helps in storing, sharing as well as verifying documents and certificates.

The tweet from the official Twitter handle of EPFO - EPFO@socialepfo said, "Members can download UAN Card, Pension Payment Order (PPO) and Scheme Certificate through #DigiLocker."

EPFO services that can be availed over DigiLocker are:
1) UAN card
2) Pension Payment Order (PPO)
3) Scheme Certificate

How can EPF subscribers avail services on digilocker?

EPF member first needs to register with the Digilocker. Then one needs to verify oneself and at the later stage one can then fetch the required documents from the platform.

In other development related to EPF, the EPFO added as many as 14.65 lakh subscribers in provisional payroll during July 2021. This is symbolic of an increase in net payroll additions during the last four months. In July, the subscriber base of the EPFO has recorded a surge of 31.28 percent in comparison to the previous month.
