You must follow various safety and security rules when it comes to your bank account, such as changing your password on a regular basis, keeping your PIN and passwords secret, using a strong password for online banking, not using public Wi-Fi to access mobile banking or net banking, generating strong and unique passwords, and so on. However, in order to enhance the security of customers' bank accounts, ICICI Bank has revealed three safety principles that consumers should be aware of.
According to ICICI Bank's Twitter post "Always use a 'SECURED' Wi-Fi connection for using digital channels of banking or for making online transactions." This implies that you should always be aware of not using unsecured and unknown Wi-Fi networks and instead always choose a secured Wi-Fi connection.
ICICI Bank has also alerted about SIM Swap fraud and said to "Stay alert and practice safe banking. Always contact your mobile network provider immediately in case you notice an unusually long absence of network, alerts, or calls." Do not publish your phone number publicly on any social networking platform as a recommended practice by ICICI Bank. To know in brief about SIM Swap fraud, please click here.
