Vedanta Dividend: Anil Agarwal-led mining major, Vedanta, announced record date for the first interim dividend payout for financial year 2025-26 (FY26). The metal-to-mining major has announced a whopping 4350% of dividend in FY25, including the company's Rs 11 first interim dividend announced in May last year.
Vedanta shares closed marginally lower at Rs 457.8 per share on BSE on Friday, June 14. The company scrip touched an intraday low mark of Rs 448.70 apiece, and an intraday high mark of Rs 463.55 per share on BSE on Friday.

Vedanta on Friday announced that its board of directors will approve first interim dividend (for FY26) in its meeting, scheduled to take place on June 18, Wednesday. The company had last announced an interim dividend of Rs 8.5 per share in December. The company had announced a dividend of Rs 11 per share in May, 2024.
"The meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company (the "Board") is proposed to be scheduled on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, to consider and approve the First Interim Dividend on equity shares, if any, for the Financial Year 2025-26," read a BSE filing of the company.

Vedanta Dividend Record Date
The company had fixed June 24 as the record date for the dividend (if announced after board meeting). A record date helps a company to determine the eligibility of shareholders for availing the benefit of corporate actions like dividend, bonus shares, stock split, etc.
"Please note that the record date for the purpose of determining the entitlement of the equity shareholders for the said dividend, if declared, is being fixed as Tuesday, June 24, 2025," read the BSE filing further.

To become eligible for Vedanta record date it would be important for shareholders or investors to own Vedanta stock on or before the record date, ie June 24. Doing so, would make them eligible Vedanta stock holders for dividend payout.
Vedanta Dividend Record History
Vedanta has announced a series of interim dividends for its shareholders. The most recent declaration was made on 11th December 2024, with a dividend value of Rs. 8.50 per share, marking an 850% interim dividend. Shareholders should note the record date is set for 24th December 2024, which is also the ex-dividend date.
Earlier in the year, Vedanta declared a third interim dividend on 28th August 2024. This dividend was valued at Rs. 20 per share, representing a substantial 2000% payout. The record and ex-dividend dates for this announcement were both on 10th September 2024.
The second interim dividend was announced on 24th July 2024, offering Rs. 4 per share, equating to a 400% payout. Investors had to be registered by the record date of 3rd August 2024 to qualify for this dividend, with the ex-dividend date being one day earlier on the 2nd of August.
On the financial front, Vedanta's first interim dividend for the year was declared on 13th May 2024. This initial payout amounted to Rs. 11 per share, translating to an impressive 1100% dividend rate. The record date for this distribution was set for the following week on the 25th of May, with shares going ex-dividend on the previous day.
