Dividend Alert: Tech Mahindra and Mahindra & Mahindra are likely to enjoy heightened investors interest as their shares will trade ex-dividend this week. Both the Mahindra Group companies had announced dividend for their shareholders during the fourth quarter of financial year 2024-25.
Mahindra & Mahindra shares closed 0.36% lower at Rs 3164.65 per share on BSE on Thursday, July 2. Whereas, Tech Mahindra shares surged around 0.33% and ended at Rs 1676.9 per share on BSE.

Mahindra & Mahindra Dividend
The automobile giant, in May, had announced a 506% dividend for its eligible shareholders. The company's board had approved a dividend of rs 25.3 per share with a face value of Rs 5 for FY25.
In another notification, the company had clarified that the dividend announced for the shareholders will be eligible for tax deducted at source (TDS) at the time of making the payment of the dividend. The TDS on Mahindra & Mahindra dividend would depend on the rates applicable on the amount distributed to the shareholders.
"The Board of Directors of the Company, at its Meeting held on 5th May, 2025 has recommended a dividend of Rs. 25.30 (506%) per Ordinary (Equity) share of Rs. 5 each for the Financial Year ended 31st March, 2025. The Dividend will be paid after 31st July, 2025, subject to the approval of Members at the 79th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") scheduled to be held on Thursday, 31st July, 2025," read a BSE filing of Mahindra & Mahindra.
Mahindra & Mahindra Dividend: How To Become Eligible Before Record Date?
Mahindra & Mahindra had fixed Friday, July 4, as the dividend record date. To become eligible for Mahindra & Mahindra dividend, it is important for investors purchase the company scrip on or before the dividend record date, ie July 4.
Mahindra Group stock dividend wouldbe transferred only to those shareholders "whose names appear as Beneficial Owners as at the end of the business hours on Friday, 4 th July, 2025, in the list of Beneficial Owners to be furnished by National Securities Depository Limited and Central Depository Services (India) Limited in respect of the shares held in electronic form; and b) Whose names appear as Members in the Register of Members of the Company as at the end of the business hours on Friday, 4 th July, 2025, after giving effect to valid request(s) received for transmission/transposition of shares and lodged with the Company/ its Registrar & Share Transfer Agents on or before Friday, 4 th July, 2025."
Tech Mahindra Dividend Details
Tech Mahindra had announced a dividend for its shareholders in financial year 2024-25. The company had announced a whopping 600% final dividend for its shareholders and had stated that the amount will be paid on 15 August, 2025, if approved by the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The multinational IT and consulting services provider had announced Rs 30 dividend for its shareholders with a face value of Rs 5 per share.
Tech Mahindra Dividend Record Date
The company had fixed Friday, 4 July as the dividend record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders for the corporate action. The dividend payment date has been fixed as 15 August, 2025.
