Active Demat Account On CDSL Crosses 7 Crore Mark
On Thursday, the Central Depository Services said active demat accounts over its platform has breached the 7 crore mark. CDSL or Central Depository Services (India) Ltd established in the year 1999 provides holding and transacting in securities in the demat form together with trade settlement on exchanges, as per the statement.
Nehal Vora-CDSL MD and CEO states that investor across the country are helping in India's growth story. "As CDSL crosses another milestone of 7 crore Demat accounts, it is not just encouraging for us but the entire ecosystem of the Indian securities market," he added.
At present, CDSL is the biggest depository in the country with respect to active demat accounts and also allows investors to deposit securities by opening an account in electronic form.
