Evaluation Methodology

The methodology for the 13th Integrated Rating Exercise involves 15 base rating metrics and nine disincentives. These factors contribute to a total score out of 100, which assesses each utility's overall performance. The grading system assigns ratings from A+ to D based on these scores and specific overriding conditions.

The primary aim of the Integrated Rating is to assess all utilities in the power distribution sector. It considers financial and operational performance as internal factors, along with regulatory environment and state government support as external factors.

This structured evaluation helps identify top-performing utilities while encouraging others to improve their operations. By recognising excellence in power distribution, the report aims to enhance service quality across the sector.
