Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasised the need to harness artificial intelligence's vast potential while addressing societal concerns. Vaishnaw also discussed India's semiconductor programme, noting strong confidence from industry stakeholders. He mentioned that the first Made in India chip will be launched this year. The focus is now on attracting equipment manufacturers, material producers, and designers to India. Achieving parts per billion purity levels for materials requires significant changes in processes, which the industry is actively pursuing.

Regarding railways, Vaishnaw mentioned efforts to enhance passenger experiences with new train models. Four new-generation trains—Vande Bharat chair car, Vande Bharat sleeper, Amrit Bharat train, and Namo Bharat rapid train—have been manufactured and tested. These trains aim to provide passengers with improved travel experiences through better specifications and technology.

Vaishnaw reiterated the government's commitment to balancing innovation with regulation in AI development. By engaging with stakeholders, the government aims to create a framework that fosters growth while addressing societal impacts.
