AICTE, NSDC, and Bajaj Finserv have joined hands to introduce a certificate program in banking, finance, and insurance to train young graduates. The program will initially be offered in 10 districts of Odisha, with plans to expand nationwide. Graduates who complete the program will receive joint certification from Bajaj Finserv and Skill India.

New Delhi, December 12: In a significant move to enhance skill development and employability in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Bajaj Finserv have come together to introduce a specialized certificate programme.
Programme Details
The programme aims to equip young graduates with industry-relevant skills and knowledge to meet the growing demands of these sectors. It will initially be rolled out in 10 districts of Odisha, with students receiving joint certification accredited by Bajaj Finserv and Skill India.
MoUs Signed
To formalize the collaboration, two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between the National Skill Development Corporation and Bajaj Finserv, and AICTE and Bajaj Finserv. The signing ceremony was graced by Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship.
Emphasis on Skill Development
Highlighting the importance of skill development in today's competitive job market, Minister Pradhan emphasized that a mere degree is no longer sufficient. He stressed the need to build a strong foundation of knowledge, competencies, skills, and the right attitude to drive the progress of a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
Bajaj Finserv's Role
Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director of Bajaj Finserv Ltd, expressed his excitement about India's promising growth phase, supported by its favorable demographics. Under this partnership, Bajaj Finserv will spearhead skilling initiatives to train 20,000 candidates through its comprehensive certificate programme in banking, finance, and insurance.
Programme Features
The 100-hour programme has been meticulously designed in collaboration with industry experts, training partners, educational institutions, and psychological health institutes. It aims to provide participants with a holistic understanding of the banking, finance, and insurance sectors, preparing them for successful careers in these fields.
The collaboration between AICTE, NSDC, and Bajaj Finserv marks a significant step towards bridging the skill gap in the banking, finance, and insurance sectors. By equipping young graduates with industry-relevant knowledge and skills, this programme will empower them to contribute to India's economic growth and development.
