Air India Cuts Over 100 International Flights Till August 2026; Check Full List Of Affected Routes
Air India has announced a major rationalisation of its international flight operations between June and August 2026 due to continued airspace restrictions and record-high aviation fuel prices. The airline said the temporary adjustments have been made to improve operational stability and reduce last-minute inconvenience for passengers.

According to Air India, the ongoing geopolitical situation, restricted international airspace and soaring jet fuel costs have significantly impacted the commercial viability of several planned international services.
Despite the temporary cuts, the airline clarified that it will continue operating more than 1,200 international flights every month across five continents.
Why Air India Is Reducing International Flights
Air India said that the temporary network changes have been implemented due to continued operational challenges linked to restricted airspace over certain regions and historically high jet fuel prices affecting long-haul international operations.
The development comes amid rising tensions in West Asia, forcing airlines globally to reroute flights around restricted Iranian and Iraqi airspace, and increasing flying time and operational expenses.
