On Saturday, Air India announced that it will resume bookings for domestic flights for travel from 4 May 2020 onwards and for international flights with travel date from 1 June. The domestic flight bookings are open for select cities including metro cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru.

"In the light of the ongoing global health concerns, we have currently stopped accepting bookings on all domestic flights for travel till May 3, 2020, and on all international flights for travel till May 31, 2020," Air India says on its website.
"Bookings for select domestic flights for travel from May 4, 2020, and for international flights for travel from June 1, 2020 onwards are open," the national carrier has confirmed.
"The situation is being constantly reviewed and we shall keep you updates," it added.
After Prime Minister Modi called for a complete lockdown in the country starting 25 March, all commercial flights were stopped from operating till 14 April. While other domestic airlines were accepting bookings for dates beyond 14 April, Air India said it would not take any bookings till 30 April.
Post the announcement of an extension in the lockdown to 3 May, Air India is the first to make an announcement on accepting flight booking beyond the lockdown period.
