Airfares To Jump Heavily Post Covid 19 Lockdown Is Lifted

As per the news daily report, after the covid 19 induced lockdown is lifted the air ticket prices may soar up to 3 times the prices before the Covid 19 era.

Also, the airlines for now are working how to carry things forwards post the current crisis and will operate at one-third capacity as they will be following social distancing rules.

During phase I, the seating arrangement will be as though as one person in each row and in the other at the diametrically opposite side.

So, in a single aisle of 180 seating capacity will now operate with just 2/3rd capacity i.e. have only 60 people. And against this loss, airlines will need to increase fares anywhere between 1.5 to 3 times.

Also, as per Indigo's plan in the buses which carry passengers to flights only 50% seats will be filled and temporarily meals shall be suspended in the flights.
