Airtel Payments Bank has introduced a unique 'pay to contacts' feature that allows users to conduct a unified payments interface (UPI) transaction by just choosing the recipient's mobile number. Regardless of the UPI app employed by the receiver, 'Pay to contacts' reveals the valid UPI ID linked with the picked contact. This minimizes valuable time and efforts by the customers by eliminating the need to input the UPI ID or bank account credentials to conduct the transaction.

Customers can select the recipient's name from the BHIM UPI section and then choose the 'Pay Money to Contacts' option to initiate a transaction. "We aim to offer a simple, secure, and seamless payment experience to our customers. With the Pay to Contacts, our users no longer need to worry about entering the bank details or UPI id every time they make a payment, we believe that this feature will significantly add to customer convenience," said Ganesh Ananthanarayanan, Chief Operating Officer, Airtel Payments Bank, according to the report of Zee Business.
Recently, Airtel Payments Bank has informed its customers that they can use BHIM UPI to make transactions without any hassle. Regarding the same Airtel Payments Bank has posted via its Twitter handle that "Send money easily to your loved ones without any worry using #BHIMUPI with #AirtelPaymentsBank. Download the #airtelThanks app today."
