Akhanda 2 Release Date Postponed: When Will Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Telegu Action Movie Come To Big Screens?

The Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna's fans are left disheartened as his upcoming action-packed movie Akhanda 2 release date is postponed. No new date is announced as of yet! However, the makers have apologized to fans who were looking forward to watching the movie on December 5.

Akhanda 2 Release Date:

The initial date to release Akhanda 2 on Indian cinemas was fixed on December 5. The movie was expected in 3D, IMAX, 4DX, D-Box, PVR ICE, Dolby Cinema and EPIQ formats, However, hours before the release, the makers announced on December 4th that they have postponed the launch date.

Why Is Akhanda 2 Release Date Postponed?

The 14 Reels Plus, who is the distributor of the movie, said through X handle, "We've tried our absolute best to bring Akhanda2 to the big screens, but despite our tireless efforts, sometimes, the most unexpected things happen, and unfortunately, this is that time."

"We sincerely apologize to all the fans and cinema lovers across the world who have been eagerly waiting for the film with so much anticipation," they added.

However, 14 Reels Plus also added that "Akhanda 2 will hit the bullseye whenever it arrives." Lastly, they said, "Coming very soon with a new date."

While the details of the reason behind the change in release date was not revealed by 14 Reels Plus, many reports stated that the distributor is likely facing financial issues with Eros International due to their past projects.

Earlier in the days, the planned premiere shows across the country were also cancelled due to the same reason. It is said that the makers spent a massive budget on the film by taking money from multiple financiers. However, the clearances didn't happen on time, which has caused all this trouble and forced the makers to postpone the release just a day before its theatrical debut, as per Sacnilk report.

The Akhanda 2 is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language fantasy action drama film directed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta, and Ishan Saksena, under 14 Reels Plus and IVY Entertainment, respectively. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Kabir Duhan Singh. It is a sequel to the 2021 film Akhanda, as per Wikipedia.

The budget of the film is a whopping Rs 200 crore as per reports.
