Alembic Pharma Hits Record High On Strong Q4 Results

Alembic Pharmaceuticals share hit 52-week high in trade today of Rs. 807.60 per share on the BSE. The gains have come as there is reported a strong jump in earnings for the quarter ended March.

Profit of the company has surged 80% on a year on year basis and stood at Rs. 225 crore on a revenue of Rs 1,207 crore that grew by 30.2 percent.

Meanwhile, other pharma shares were outperforming the benchmark indices with Nifty Pharma up in intra-day touched an high of 9541.25 against its 52-week high levels of 9580.85.

Other pharma companies that were contributing to the gains of the index include Lupin, Sun Pharma, Biocon, Cipla while the only negative contributor from the pack was Dr. Reddy's.
