Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2, Ram Charan's Game Changer To Face Setback? Income Tax Dept Raided Producers Homes, More

In a major setback for Pushpa 2: The Rule and Game Changer, the Income Tax Department has reportedly raided the two film producers in Hyderabad. As per the report, on Tuesday, the officers and homes of producers Dil Raju, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili, and Naveen Yerneni were under investigation. These producers have backed Pushpa 2: The Rule and Game Changer which is starred by two A-list actors Allu Arjun and Ram Charan.

Dil Raju is among the top producers in the south, and his real name is Velamkucha Venkata Ramana Reddy. He is the owner of a leading production house in Telugu, namely Sri Venkateswara Creations. Recently, Raju also took the role of chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation.

Meanwhile, Ravi and Naveen also own a renowned production house, Mythri Movie Makers.

One of the main reasons for the raids is reportedly that the IT department suspected these producers of tax evasion. However, these are speculations and GoodReturns. In cannot confirm the same. Details in the matter will be keenly watched.

As per Telugu 360 report, a huge number of officials are asked to raid several top production houses. Right from the producers and their families to the crucial employees, key officials and some of the top financiers of Tollywood are being raided today. The report said, this would be the biggest ever raid in Tollywood.

The Telugu 360 report added that Offices, premises and residences of top producers Dil Raju, Mythri Naveen and Abhiskeg Aggarwal are raided. Upcoming producer Venkata Satish Kilaru too was hit by the raids. Also, top financier Satya Rangayya is raided.

The three producers recently released three movies, of them two bagged huge success and one even created a historic milestone in the Indian cinema industry.

Raju's Venkatesh-starrer Sankranthiki Vasthunam was a huge success, while his Ram Charan-starrer Game Changer received lacklustre response from the audience. Notably, it will be Ravi and Naveen-backed Pushpa 2: The Rule which has Allu Arjun in the lead, outperformed to become the best 2024 movie and even climbed the ladder to become the second-largest movie in Indian history. All three movies were recently released.
