He underlined the importance of a strong working relationship between the two nations, stating, "No way you make progress over the long term without China and the US deeply talking to each other on something like AI." Drawing on his experience at Google, Pichai asserted that collaboration with China needs to be an integral part of the AI development process.

In addition to discussing the importance of international cooperation, Pichai shed light on Google's upcoming project, Gemini. Described as a large language model trained on massive datasets, Gemini aims to be competitive with other state-of-the-art models by providing natural language responses to prompts. Pichai expressed his excitement for the innovation ahead, stating, "I am extraordinarily excited for the innovation coming ahead. We built the company for this moment." He revealed that the company is currently focused on releasing the "1.0" version of Gemini as soon as possible, with more technically complex versions to follow.
