Amazon Prime Day Sale Returns This July with Big Savings: Unlimited Free Same-day Delivery on 10 lakhs+ Items

E-commerce giant Amazon India has announced that its much-awaited annual shopping festival, Prime Day, will return in July 2025. Now in its ninth edition, Prime Day will bring exclusive deals and offers to Prime members across India, with discounts on top brands, trending products, and Amazon exclusives.

The global event will take place simultaneously in over 20 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). For Indian shoppers, Prime Day is expected to be bigger and faster than ever before.

"We are excited to announce that Amazon.in's 9th Prime Day event is coming in July. Prime members can look forward to some of Amazon's best deals of the summer during Prime Day 2025," said the company in a press release.

Indian Prime members will continue to enjoy a range of delivery benefits. These include free same-day delivery on over 1 million products, next-day delivery on 4 million+ items, and ultra-fast 4-hour delivery on more than 20,000 products. These services are built into the membership and are among its most popular features.

Last year's, the prime day 2024 was Amazon India's biggest Prime Day ever event, with record-breaking sales across categories. Sales from small and medium businesses (SMBs) surged by over 30% compared to the previous year. Sellers, including women entrepreneurs, artisans, and weavers, sold over 1,600 units per minute during the two-day sale.

"Prime Day gives us a rare chance to connect directly with customers across India. The visibility and sales volume we achieved in just two days would otherwise take months," said a woman entrepreneur from Jaipur who participated in last year's event.

Amazon also achieved its fastest delivery speeds to date, shipping over 41 crore products on the same or next day during Prime Day 2024. Globally, Prime members saved an estimated $95 billion on shipping in 2024. In India alone, members saved an average of Rs 3,300 on delivery costs-more than twice the price of an annual Prime membership.

Amazon Prime in India includes more than just shipping benefits. Members get access to Prime Video for movies and shows, Amazon Music for ad-free songs and podcasts, Prime Reading for e-books and magazines, and Prime Gaming for free in-game content. Prime also offers exclusive daily deals and 5% unlimited cashback on purchases made with the Amazon Pay ICICI credit card.

Amazon Prime Membership Offers

To meet different customer needs, Amazon offers three membership options in India:

• Prime (Rs 1,499/year) with full shopping and entertainment benefits,
• Prime Lite (Rs 799/year) with full shopping and limited entertainment, and
• Prime Shopping Edition (Rs 299/year) focused purely on shopping and delivery benefits.
