To construct a strategic plan and establish Andhra Pradesh as the hub for electronics manufacturing, Mr. Y. Guru, Chairman and Managing Director of Celkon Group, said that a meeting with the Hon'ble Chief Minister and the IT Minister is scheduled to take place in the coming days. Mr. Y. Guru welcomed and congratulated Mr. Nara Lokesh on his recent appointment as Andhra Pradesh's new IT Minister.
According to Mr. Guru, the IT minister expressed during the meeting that he is fully on board and ready to make a significant impact, turning Andhra Pradesh into a preeminent center for the production of electronics.

According to Mr. Guru, the electronics sector expanded by 400% between 2015 and 2024, and India is presently exporting mobile phones valued at Rs 1,20,000 crores. Thus, Andhra Pradesh has a lot of possibilities for exploring exports. The overall worth of the nation's electronics manufacturing industry, which was estimated at $75 billion in 2019, climbed to $115 billion by 2024 and is expected to reach $300 billion in the upcoming years. Mr. Lokesh stated that his goal is to secure the majority of the growth that is expected to come from Andhra Pradesh.
Pankaj Mohindroo, Chairman of the India Cellular & Electronics Association, expressed strong support for the initiatives led by Chief Minister Naidu by saying, "We are encouraged and motivated by the new Andhra Government under the able and visionary leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He is a great source of inspiration for our industry. Andhra Pradesh has tremendous potential in electronics manufacturing, and our previous collaborations have delivered concrete outcomes."
In order to further enhance employment opportunities and manufacturing capabilities, Mr. Y Guru emphasised that the Tirupati Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), where Celkon, TCL, Sunny Opotech, Foxlink, and other companies have established plants and are doing well, is being discussed with various supply chain companies and factories that deal with ancillary parts.
Recently, the company announced its successful acquisition of Touch Mobiles, a well-established mobile retail chain in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Celkon Group CMD Y Guru said this acquisition marks a significant milestone in Celkon Group's expansion strategy, solidifying its position as a key player in the mobile market. Touch Mobiles has gained a reputation as the go-to destination for tech enthusiasts, offering a wide range of smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, laptops, and mobile accessories.
Boasting over 40 stores, Touch Mobiles provides customers with top-notch products from renowned brands. While announcing its expansion plan, the company informed that Touch Mobiles aims to establish up to 50 company-owned stores along with an additional 200 franchise stores in South India and Maharashtra, and has set ambitious revenue goals, with a forecast of reaching 200 crores by the end of this financial year.
