Anthropic Announces Claude AI Pricing in India: Here's How Much Pro, Max and Team Subscriptions Cost

Artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic has officially introduced India-specific pricing for its premium Claude AI subscriptions, making it easier for users to pay in Indian rupees instead of US dollars. The move eliminates foreign currency billing for Indian customers and brings local pricing across individual as well as business plans.

Until now, many Indian users had to subscribe using international payments, where the final amount often varied because of currency conversion charges, GST and bank fees. With the latest update, customers can now see the final subscription price upfront in rupees, making budgeting far simpler for professionals, students, developers and businesses that rely on AI tools every day.

Claude Pro Subscription Price in India

The entry-level paid plan, Claude Pro, now starts at Rs 2,000 per month when users opt for annual billing, taking the yearly cost to Rs 24,000. Those who prefer monthly payments can subscribe for Rs 2,399 per month.

The Pro plan is designed for users who regularly work with AI for writing, coding, research, document analysis and productivity. Compared with the free version, it offers significantly higher usage limits along with access to premium features including Projects, Memory, web search, file uploads and voice capabilities.

The annual subscription offers a lower effective monthly price, while the monthly option provides greater flexibility for users who do not want a long-term commitment.

Claude Max Pricing in India

For professionals who spend several hours every day using AI, Anthropic has introduced two Claude Max subscription options.

The Claude Max 5x plan is priced at Rs 11,999 per month, while the more advanced Claude Max 20x subscription costs Rs 23,999 per month.

Rather than introducing new core features, the Max plans primarily increase usage capacity. Subscribers receive substantially larger message limits, longer coding sessions through Claude Code, priority access during periods of heavy demand and early access to newly released models and features.

These plans are aimed at software developers, researchers, analysts, consultants, content teams and enterprise users whose daily workflow depends heavily on AI.

Claude Team Plans for Businesses

Anthropic has also rolled out dedicated Team subscriptions for Indian organisations looking to deploy Claude across multiple employees. The Team Standard plan is available at Rs 2,399 per user every month with annual billing, while monthly billing costs Rs 2,999 per seat.

Businesses requiring higher usage and enterprise-grade administration can choose Team Premium, which is priced at Rs 11,999 per seat per month on annual billing or Rs 14,999 per seat with monthly payments.

Both Team plans include collaborative workplace features such as centralised administration, unified billing, Single Sign-On (SSO), domain management, administrative controls and access to productivity tools built for teams.
