Apple's upcoming iPhone 18 has already become the talk of the town even before its official launch which is expected later this year. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to arrive with multiple major upgrades and Indian consumers are eagerly waiting for this to drop.

One of the biggest upgrades is that both the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max will be powered by the Apple A20 Pro chip which is expected to deliver approximately 15% faster performance while consuming 30% less power compared to the A19 Pro.

Apple iPhone 18 Launch Date

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in early September 2026, with mid-September as likely as per the previous year's trend. Pre-orders are expected to begin shortly after the announcement, with shipping beginning about a week later.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will launch alongside Apple's first-ever foldable iPhone, currently rumoured as the "iPhone Fold" or "iPhone Ultra." According to reports, the more affordable iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are expected to be delayed until spring 2027.

iPhone 18, iPhone 18 Pro Max Expected Price in India

As per reports, the iPhone 18 Pro Max price can be around Rs 1,54,000 to Rs 1,60,000 in India, with reports suggesting Apple may hike prices this year despite rising RAM and component costs. Some estimates put the price higher with the 12GB + 512GB variant expected around Rs 1,69,990. Official pricing will only be confirmed at Apple's September 2026 event.

Dummy models leaked in late May 2026 show the back is largely consistent with the iPhone 17 Pro, a little taller and wider. The camera plateau has grown measuring 11.54mm, up from 11.23mm on the 17 Pro Max with total lens-bump thickness reaching 13.77mm.

The Dummy models also suggested to four expected colour options: Silver, Black, Light Blue, and Dark Cherry
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to feature a 6.9-inch LTPO+ 120Hz ProMotion display. A smaller Dynamic Island is also expected.

The camera is the biggest headline for the iPhone 18 Pro Max this cycle. Leaks suggest Apple is introducing major upgrades for the main camera which is expected to give photographers genuine control over light intake and natural bokeh.
The rear camera system is expected to feature a 200MP primary sensor, with 80W wired charging and 25W wireless charging also on the cards.
