If you are planning a bank branch visit today you should know that that Saturday, August 29, 2026, is the fifth Saturday of the month. Banks are generally open on the fifth Saturday, as only the second and fourth Saturdays are mandatory bank holidays.

Yes. Physical bank branches may be closed on holidays, but customers can generally continue using UPI, mobile banking, net banking and ATM services.
