The minister lauded the efforts of the youth associated with Aroma Startups in Jammu and Kashmir, recognizing them as brand ambassadors of the purple revolution across the country. He encouraged investments in agri startups, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships to foster collaboration between the two sectors.

Harnessing Himalayan Resources for Sustainable Livelihoods

Minister Singh stressed the significance of creating awareness about cultivating Himalayan resources, such as lavender, and urged DDC members to play a crucial role in this endeavor. He envisioned a future where a large number of youth in the region could join agri startups, earning sustainable livelihoods while contributing to India's GDP.

The minister urged CSIR-IIIM to conduct research and identify new crops suitable for cultivation based on the topography of different regions in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized the need to engage more people in the agri-startup ecosystem to drive economic growth.

India's Rise in Preventive Healthcare and Space Sector

Minister Singh expressed pride in India's recognition as a global leader in preventive healthcare, attributing this success to the country's renowned vaccine program that saved countless lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also highlighted the significant investments made in the space sector, with over Rs 1,000 crore invested in just eight months last year. The government aims to attract more than USD 40 billion in investment by 2040, with projections indicating that India could surpass this target and reach USD 100 billion by the same year.
