Asha Bhosle Death: Legendary Singer Passes Away At The Age of 92

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle has reportedly passed away at the age of 92 while undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital, reported ANI on Sunday, April 12. The nonagenarian singer had been experiencing breathing difficulties and was subsequently admitted for medical care.

Dr Pratit Samdani at Breach Candy Hospital confirmed the demise of the legendary singer."Asha Bhosale breathed her last today in Breach Candy Hospital. She passed away due to multi-organ failure," Dr Samdani said.She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening following extreme exhaustion and a chest infection.

Further details about Asha Bhosle's demise are awaited. Earlier, several media outlets reported that Asha Bhosle suffered a cardiac arrest and was facing difficulty in breathing. However, her granddaughter clarified that exhaustion and a chest infection led to the treatment. She had also requested to maintain privacy.

Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively."

Asha Bhosle was born on September 8, 1933. She is the younger sister of the legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar. Asha Bhosle belongs to the prominent Mangeshkar family and has three other siblings, ie Usha Mangeshkar, Meena Khadikar, and brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar. They are the children of classical singer Deenanath Mangeshkar.
