Asian Paints Declares 1.3% Rise In Q4 Net, Highest Dividend After 2013; Shares Trade In Red

Large cap paints sector company Asian Paints on May 9 declared a marginal surge of 1.3% in its net profit to Rs 1275.3 crore for the March 2024 quarter as against Rs 1258.41 crore declared in the corresponding quarter of last year. The Board of Directors of Asian Paints recommended highest dividend after 2013 at Rs 28.15 per equity share of the face value of Re 1 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2024. Asian Paints Recommends Dividend: As per the BSE filing of the company dated today, "recommended payment of final dividend of Rs. 28.15 (Rupees twenty-eight and paise fifteen only) per equity share of the face value of Re. 1 (Rupee one) each for the financial year ended 31 st March 2024, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing 78th Annual General Meeting of the Company."

The total dividend for the financial year ended 31 st March 2024, aggregates to Rs. 33.30 (Rupees thirty-three and paise thirty only) per equity share of the face value of Re. 1 (Rupee one) each (dividend payout ratio of 60%), including the interim dividend of Rs. 5.15 (Rupees five and paise fifteen only) per equity share as approved by the Board of Directors at their meeting held on 26th October 2023, which was paid thereafter, added the BSE filing.

Asian Paints Q4: The total revenue of Asian Paints fell by 0.64% to Rs 8,730.76 crore as against Rs 8,787.34 crore in the similar quarter of last year. The company's EBITDA for the quarter under review declined 9.3% to Rs 1,692 crore and EBITDA margins fell by 170 bps YoY to 21.1%.
