Asian Paints Q1 Results FY27: Net Profit Jumps 40% To Rs 1,539 Crore; Revenue Rises 18%
Paint manufacturer Asian Paints Ltd. reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 posting strong double-digit growth in both revenue and profit.

Asian Paints Q1FY27 Financial Performance
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Asian Paints reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,539 crore, clocking a 9.9% YoY increase compared to the corresponding quarter last year.
The company also recorded healthy top-line growth, with consolidated revenue from operations rising nearly 18% YoY to around Rs. 10,542 crore.
The company's operating performance remained equally impressive. The Net Profit stood at Rs 1,539 crore, up around 40% YoY. Asian paint's EBITDA came in at Rs 2,169 crore which was up by 33.4% YoY.
The company delivered an EBITDA margin of 20.6%, an improvement of nearly 240 basis points compared with 18.2% in the same quarter last year.
India Decorative Paints Business Shows Growth
Asian Paints' core India Decorative business was the biggest contributor to the company's performance during the quarter.
The company reported 9% volume growth in its India decorative paints segment, despite a competitive market environment which means the consumer demand is still intact. In value terms, the segment grew by approximately 16.6%.
The continued growth in decorative paints highlights the resilience of the housing and renovation market, where Asian Paints continues to maintain its leadership position through an extensive dealer network, strong brand recall and innovative product offerings.
International Business Performance
Asian Paints also recorded growth in its international operations. The company's international business revenue increased 27% YoY due to demand improvement across overseas markets.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) from the international business surged nearly 95% YoY to Rs 74 crore, The international business is an important growth factor for Asian Paints as the company expands its presence across Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Home Decor Business Performance
Within its home decor portfolio, Asian Paints reported mixed results. As per the press release, the bath fittings business faced challenges during the quarter amid subdued demand and competitive pressures.
Asian Paints has been expanding beyond paints into home decor categories such as kitchens, bath fittings, waterproofing, adhesives and furnishings as part of its long-term growth strategy.
Market Reaction: Asian Paints Share Price
After the Asian Paints' Q1FY27 earnings announcements, shares of Asian Paints at the end of trading today closed at Rs. 2,761 per share, up by 0.91%.
