ASK Automotive, AISIN Group Announce Joint Venture for Passenger Car Aftermarket

In a significant move within the automotive sector, ASK Automotive has announced a joint venture agreement with AISIN Group Companies, a renowned Japanese auto components supplier. This collaboration marks a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the market presence of both entities in the passenger vehicle domain. The partnership will focus on marketing and selling auto components in independent aftermarkets across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, specifically targeting the passenger car production segment.

ASK-AISIN JV Targets Car Aftermarket

The joint venture, which is currently awaiting regulatory approvals, is expected to be finalized in the upcoming months. ASK Automotive, known for its expertise in manufacturing brake shoes and advanced braking systems for two-wheelers, will bring its manufacturing prowess to the table. On the other hand, AISIN Group, with its subsidiaries AISIN Asia Thailand Co Ltd and AISIN Automotive Haryana Pvt Ltd, will contribute its vast experience in the auto components industry.

This strategic alliance aims to significantly expand the partners' footprints across the targeted regions by leveraging their combined expertise and resources. The focus will be on catering to the independent aftermarket in the passenger car segment, both domestically and internationally.

Kuldip Singh Rathee, Chairman and Managing Director of ASK Automotive Ltd., expressed optimism about the joint venture's potential impact. "This joint venture will enable us to leverage our collective expertise and resources to serve the four-wheeler passenger car segment in domestic and international aftermarket," he stated.

Yasuhiro Nakamura, President of Aisin Asia Thailand, echoed Rathee's sentiments, highlighting the partnership's forward-looking approach. "Together, we journey toward success, shaping the future of Indian automotive aftermarket sector to contribute to a safe and secure car life in India," Nakamura said.

The collaboration between ASK Automotive and AISIN Group Companies represents a significant step towards enhancing the automotive component market's landscape.
