Counting of votes for the 2026 Assembly elections began at 8:00 AM on Monday, May 4 across West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and the Union Territory (UT) of Puducherry. In the UT of Puducherry, early counting trends show the AIADMK leading in one constituency. Party candidate A. Anbalagan is currently ahead in Oupalam, with further rounds of counting expected to bring more clarity as the day progresses.
