Starting April 1, 2025, SBI Card is set to revise the rewards structure for several of its credit cards, leading to notable changes for cardholders. The affected credit cards include the Club Vistara SBI Credit Cards, Club Vistara SBI PRIME Credit Cards, SimplyCLICK SBI Card, Air India SBI Platinum Credit Card, and Air India SBI Signature Credit Card. These alterations encompass the discontinuation of complimentary flight ticket vouchers for renewals and milestones, along with a reduction in the accumulation of reward points across specific spending categories. For those utilizing their cards for Swiggy orders and booking Air India flights, the changes are poised to impact the reward points they earn.

Significant adjustments are in store for Club Vistara SBI Credit Cards and Club Vistara SBI PRIME Credit Cards. Effective from April 1, 2025, the removal of economy and premium economy ticket vouchers from renewal benefits marks a pivotal change. Furthermore, milestone benefits that awarded ticket vouchers upon achieving spending thresholds of Rs 1.25 lakh, Rs 2.5 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh will no longer be available. Despite these cutbacks, there's a silver lining as the renewal fee of Rs 2,999 will be waived off during card renewal, offering some relief to cardholders.

For SimplyCLICK SBI Card users, the reward points for Swiggy transactions will see a reduction from April 1, 2025. Whereas cardholders currently enjoy 10X reward points on Swiggy orders, this will be halved to 5X. Nevertheless, the 10X reward points for online purchases on Apollo 24X7, BookMyShow, Cleartrip, Domino's, IGP, Myntra, Netmeds, and Yatra will remain intact, ensuring that cardholders can still benefit from significant rewards on these platforms.

Changes are also forthcoming for Air India SBI Platinum and Air India SBI Signature Credit Card holders. Currently, the former earns 15 reward points per Rs 100 spent on Air India tickets via the airline’s mobile app or website, which will decrease to 5 reward points per Rs 100 spent. Similarly, the latter will see a reduction from 30 to 10 reward points per Rs 100 spent on Air India ticket purchases. These adjustments, effective March 31, 2025, signify a notable decrease in the potential for reward accumulation for these cardholders.

In conclusion, the upcoming revisions by SBI Card to its rewards programme represent a significant shift in the benefits offered to cardholders of certain credit cards. With the removal of complimentary flight ticket vouchers and a decrease in reward points for selected spending categories, cardholders will need to reconsider their spending strategies to optimize their benefits. Despite these changes, SBI Card has attempted to mitigate the impact by maintaining certain rewards and waiving renewal fees for Club Vistara cardholders.
