Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection: Emraan Hashmi's Sequel Marches Towards Rs 150 Crore Worldwide On Day 5
Emraan Hashmi's sequel Awarapan 2 has become one of the biggest Hindi releases of August 2026 after a strong demand during the Independence Day weekend.
The film, which also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi and is directed by Nitin Kakkar, opened in theatres on August 14 and has been doing daily good at the box office through its first week.

Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection So Far
Awarapan 2 started with a net collection of Rs 22 crore on Day 1, playing across over 9,000 shows nationwide as per data from Salcnik.
The real jump came the next day on August 15, when the film gained massively from the Independence Day holiday and surged over 50% to collect Rs 33.75 crore net beating Sunny Deol's Batwara 1947 which garnered a healthy on that day.
By the end of the opening weekend, the total Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection in India crossed Rs 50 crore in the first two days alone, with the gross figure touching around Rs 67 crore Globally the Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection reached approximately Rs 72 crore.
The film's current India collection is at Rs 103.25 crore net and Rs 122.92 crore gross, with an overseas haul of Rs 19.28 crore, taking the worldwide total to Rs 142.2 crore.
Awarapan 2 Plot & Cast
Awarapan 2 is the sequel to the movie Awarapan, which was released 14 years ago in 2007. The movie was not financially successful, but because of its music and emotional story, it turned it into a beloved cult classic over the years. The sequel, however, is comfortably moving towards the hit zone to touch the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark.
Awarapan 2 picks up the story of Shivam Pandit nineteen years after the events of the first film. Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam Pandit and Disha Patani plays Zara, who is the new female lead. The movie also features Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar. Shaad Randhawa and Shriya Saran appear in cameos.
