Shares of Awfis Space Solutions, a prominent operator in the working space sector, saw a significant uptick in their market debut on Thursday, closing over 9 per cent higher at Rs 419.10 each. The company's stock opened at a premium of 12.86 per cent at Rs 432.25, compared to its issue price of Rs 383 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), showcasing robust investor confidence.

Throughout the trading day, the stock experienced fluctuations, reaching a peak of Rs 451.45 and dipping to a low of Rs 409.40. This debut trading session saw approximately 9.59 lakh shares changing hands on the BSE. Similarly, on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Awfis Space Solutions' shares ascended by 9.2 per cent to close at Rs 415.95 per share, with around 1.36 crore equity shares traded.
The company's market valuation by the day's end stood impressively at Rs 2,909.38 crore on the BSE and Rs 2,887.51 crore on the NSE. This performance comes against the backdrop of a challenging day for the broader market, with the 30-share BSE Sensex plunging by 617.30 points to settle at 73,885.60, and the NSE Nifty dropping by 216.05 points to close at 22,488.65.
The initial public offering (IPO) of Awfis Space Solutions was met with overwhelming investor enthusiasm, getting subscribed a staggering 108.17 times on its final day. The IPO was priced between Rs 364 and Rs 383 per share, aiming to raise Rs 599 crore.
The funds from this fresh issue are earmarked for several key areas of expansion and operational enhancement. Specifically, Awfis plans to allocate proceeds towards capital expenditure for establishing new centres, supporting working capital requirements, and other general corporate purposes.
