To review and approve the Q1 FY26 results, the Board of Directors of Bajaj Finserv Limited (BFS) met today, Friday. In comparison to the same period last year (Q1 FY25), Bajaj Finserv Limited has shown notable growth across all of its businesses, according to the financial highlights for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q1 FY26). At Rs 35,451 crore, the company's consolidated total income increased by 13%. At Rs 2,789 crore, the consolidated profit after tax went up by a significant 30%.

The profit after tax for the general insurance business increased by 15% to Rs 660 crore whereas the net value of new business (VNB) for the life insurance segment showed strong growth, rising by 39% to Rs 145 crore.
As of June 30, 2025, Bajaj Finserv Asset Management reported assets under management (AUM) of 25,011 crore. Bajaj Finserv Health, Bajaj Finserv Direct, Bajaj Finserv Asset Management, and Bajaj Finserv Ventures are among the new companies that BFS is still concentrating on expanding. As anticipated, these businesses' losses for the first fiscal year of FY26 totaled Rs 142 crore.
In the first quarter of FY26, BFL reported a 4.69 million boost in customer franchises and a 13.49 million improve in new loan bookings. While its subsidiary, BHFL, saw a 21 percent rise in profit after tax, its quarterly consolidated profit after taxes rose by 20%.
Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL), one of its significant subsidiaries, said that its net total income for the first quarter of FY26 rose by 21% to Rs 12,610 crore from Rs 10.418 crore in the first quarter of FY25, while its profit after tax for the first quarter of FY26 improved by 20% to Rs 4,699 crore from Rs 3,912 crore in the first quarter of FY25. Compared to Rs 1,685 crore in Q1 FY25, loan losses and provisions for Q1 FY26 jumped to Rs 2,120 crore.
According to Bajaj Finance Limited (BFL), its assets under management (AUM) increased by 25% from Rs 354.192 crore on June 30, 2024, to Rs 441,450 crore on June 30, 2025. As of June 30, 2025, Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) and Net NPA were 1.03% and 0.50%, respectively, compared to 0.86% and 0.38% on the same period in 2024. On stage 3 assets, the provisioning coverage ratio was 52%.
