Bangalore Weather Today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted mild rainfall, including thundershowers, in Bangalore on Monday, April 7. The weather forecasting agency has also indicated cloudy weather in Karnataka's capital today.

Bangalore is known for its pleasant weather, however, people in the metro city have been witnessing a severe rise in temperature over the past few days. The IMD, in its latest weather report, had predicted mild rain in Bangalore on Sunday and Monday. Several Karnataka districts are likely to experience mild rainfall on Monday, including Udupi and other districts of Daskhina Kannada.

The weather in Bangalore will remain "generally cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers", noted IMD in its local weather forecast. The minimum temperature is likely to remain at 23 degree Celsius, whereas maximum temperature is expected to hover around 33 degree Celsius, which was same on Sunday. Despite IMD prediction of mild showers on Sunday, only 0.1 mm of rainfall was recorded in Bangalore on April 6.

The weather in Bangalore will remain partly cloudy with no significant signs of rain during the remaining week, however, there will be a normal decline in minimum and maximum temperatures of the city.

Karnataka Weather Today

Several districts of north interior Karnataka, coastal Karnataka, and south Interior Karnataka are likely to witness mild rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms today. According to IMD, there are chances of "light rain, thundershowers accompanied with Gusty winds (30-40 kmph) at one or two places over Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag and Haveri districts." Apart from the mentioned districts, dry weather is likely over the remaining districts.

Apart from rainfall, there will be no major change in maximum temperatures for the next twenty four hours over North Interior Karnataka. However, districts will witness a nominal surge of 2-4 degree Celsius during the subsequent four days. Additionally, there will be no large change in maximum temperatures for the next twenty hours over south interior and coastal Karnataka. It will be followed by a nominal increase in temperature by 2-3° during the coming days.

Heatwave in Other Indian States

In contrast to cloudy weather with possibility of rainfall in several Karnataka districts today, many Indian states including Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, etc will face extremely high temperature due to scorching summer today and in the coming week. There will be severe heatwave like conditions in Delhi on Monday and Tuesday. Whereas, heatwave like conditions will prevail to isolated pockets over Gujarat state during 7 to 10 April.

In Rajasthan, there will be a significant surge in temperature at isolated pockets over Saurashtra and Kutch on 7 April. Heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated pockets of Himachal Pradesh on Mondau, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab from 7 to 10 April. Scorching summer will trouble residents of districts located in West Uttar Pradesh during 07th-09th April. Similar heatwave like conditions will prevail in most parts of Madhya Pradesh during 08th-10th April. Additionally, hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over coastal areas of Gujarat State and Konkan and Goa during 07th-09th April.
