Bank Holiday 2025: Banks To Be Closed For 3 Days From June 6-8: Bakrid To Id-Uz-Zuha

Bank Holidays 2025: Indian banks are scheduled for a long weekend next week. Both private and PSU banks will be closed for a total of 3 days in a row from June 6 to June 8. However, these holidays may vary from city-to-city.

Bank Holiday On June 6:

Banks will be closed in cities like Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram for the celebration of Id-ul-Ad'ha (Bakrid).

Bank Holiday On June 7:

On this day, banks will be closed in cities like Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Chennai, Guwahati, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Imphal, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, and Srinagar. The holiday is due to Bakri ID (Id-Uz-Zuha).

June 7th also falls as first Saturday of the month.

Bank Holiday On June 8:

All banks will be closed on June 8 since its a Sunday which is a default holiday.

Bank Holidays In June 2025:

There are a total of five special holidays in June 2025. As per RBI's holidays list, apart from June 6th and June 7th holiday, banks will be closed on June 11 due to Sant Guru Kabir Jayanti/Saga Dawa, on June 27 due to Ratha Yatra/Kang (Rathajatra), and on June 30 due to Remna Ni.

These special holidays are excluding the second and fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays. The holidays fall under the category of Negotiable Instruments Act and Banks' Closing of Accounts.
