Banks across India will see a short break next week, but only for the standard weekly holidays. According to the official RBI bank holiday calendar, banks will remain closed on Saturday, 22 November, for the fourth Saturday and again on Sunday, 23 November, for the regular weekly closure.

Officials have confirmed that no major bank holidays are scheduled next week apart from these routine holidays. All banks, both public, private, cooperative, and regional, are expected to operate normally during the rest of the week from 17 to 23 November.
However, holiday rules can vary slightly depending on your state and city, so customers are advised to check with their local branch or refer to the latest updates on the RBI website before planning a bank visit.
Bank Holiday Next Week: What Will Remain Closed?
As per the national schedule, the only two bank holidays next week are:
- 22 November, Saturday: Fourth Saturday, So all banks will be closed nationwide.
- 23 November, Sunday: Weekly holiday
Upcoming Bank Holidays in November 2025
The RBI calendar shows no additional bank holidays for the remaining days of November. Other than Sundays, there are no festival-related or region-specific bank holidays listed for this month. The next major set of bank holidays will begin only in December.

Here are the key bank holidays scheduled for December 2025 across India:
December 13, Saturday - Second Saturday bank holiday across India
December 25, Thursday: Christmas Day, a major national holiday
December 26, Friday: Shaheed Udham Singh Jayanti, a bank holiday, will be observed in states like Haryana, Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Telangana.
December 27, Saturday: Fourth Saturday holiday, which will be observed in most states
December 27, Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti: Bank holiday will be observed in states including Haryana, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
Depending on the state, some banks may have additional regional holidays. Customers should refer to state-wise bank holiday lists or local RBI notifications to confirm specific closures.
What Banking Services Will Still Work During Bank Holidays?
Even though physical branches close on weekends and holidays, most banking services remain fully functional. Customers can continue using Internet banking and mobile banking apps. UPI payments via Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and others will also be operational. Additionally, ATM withdrawals remain operational unless replenishment issues occur. NEFT/RTGS requests (timings may vary depending on the bank). Credit and debit card services, including online purchases and bill payments.
Customers can also submit digital forms for demand drafts, chequebooks, account maintenance, standing instructions, and even locker service applications during Bank holidays.
