Banks are in for a long holiday due to back-to-back festivals between September 14 to September 23. To be precise, banks will be shut for at least nine days during the said period. However, not all banks will be closed across India as these special holidays vary from city to city. In India, bank holidays are decided by the RBI. Check the city-wise list for upcoming bank holidays.

The Maharashtra government has declared September 18 as the public holiday, as part of shifting the Eid-e-Milad holiday from September 16, 2024, to September 18, 2024, to avoid a potential clash with Anant Chaturdashi, the concluding day of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, which falls on September 17.

Further, banks will be closed on September 20 due to Friday following Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi. Banks in the cities of Jammu and Srinagar will be closed on this day.
September 21:

All banks will be closed on September 22, due to Sunday being the default holiday.
September 23:
